Sportstec were awarded the TIBU Africa Award for Best Covid Sport Initiative!  The committee recognised the Wellness2Life campaign that kept so many learners active and healthy during lockdown. We are extremely proud of all the coaches and staff in our Sportstec family!

A video report on the group mobility with 10 students from the Master’s programme in Movement and Sports Sciences (Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy, Vrije Universiteit Brussel) to South Africa in 2022 in the context of sport-for-development. This group mobility project has been realised in collaboration with Sportstec, a South African sport-for-development agency.

Mt Thintwa and St Charles College partner to create effective change through a valued based development programme using a specific methodology. Learners are divided into teams aligned with Mt Thintwa’s camp objectives, with an overall reference to the learner building a social conscience or how to make their world a better place.

The UNICEF-supported programme, Sports for Development, is teaching South African students the essential life skills which are critical to a well-rounded education and a brighter future.

Sport for development (S4D) Youth Leadership National Awards Conference at Mount Grace, Magaliesburg 2013 South Africa. Since the inception of the Sport for Development Programme, UNICEF, together with development partners, has changed the lives of thousands of children across South Africa. The emphasis of the programme is on helping disadvantaged youths increase their self confidence and life skills through sports, coaching and mentoring.
