FREE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Sportstec has a healthy relationship with Free State Department of Education since 2013 to date. The partnership was based on Physical Education where 05 Primary Schools, 03 Intermediate Schools and 05 High Schools at Thabo Mofutsanyana Education District (Qwaqwa Village situated at Maluti A Phofung Local Municipality) were serviced. 20 more schools were added to the program through the partnership of Sportstec and MRP Foundation. A League that involved 20 high schools for Football and Netball codes was also run professionally by Sportstec facilitators.
A partnership benefits the Department with the following
- Unemployed local youth were appointed and trained as Physical Education Facilitators.
- Facilitators were allocated to all schools where they supported Life Skills and Life Orientation educators to implement Physical Education classes effectively.
- As it is well known that many schools are struggling to conduct Physical Education, Our Schools that are involved in the project are excelling in PE and that improved the performance of those schools in sports activities.
- Our Schools were supported with basic equipment and facilities necessary for the successful implementation of Physical Education.
I therefore without any reservations recommend Sportstec to any company, organisation or government institutions that might need to partner with in order to improve a healthy life of our young citizens.
